The Pastor of Savannah Grace Church, Arome Adah, has urged Nigerians to live lives of impact and service in order to leave lasting legacies for future generations.
Pastor Adah made the call during the burial and thanksgiving service of his father, Moses Adah, on Sunday in Lokoja.
Speaking at the ceremony, Adah, the first son of the deceased, said his late father devoted his life to impacting others and bringing out the best in people.
He urged Nigerian leaders to emulate the selfless lifestyle of the late Adah, Nigeria’s first professor of solid-state physics, a seasoned politician and former commissioner in Kwara and Benue states.
Also speaking, the member representing Ankpa I Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Lawal Akus, paid glowing tribute to the late elder statesman and stressed the importance of preserving his legacy.
Akus commended the children of the deceased for maintaining unity within the family and encouraged them to uphold the educational, political and cultural values for which their father was known.
Late Dr Adah served as a member of the House of Representatives in 1983.
He also served as Commissioner for Works and Housing during the Murtala Mohammed administration in Kwara and Benue states.
He is survived by his wives, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
