AIG Seeks Cooperation of Stakeholders to End Crime in EKiti

Assistant Inspector General of Police, Akure Zone 17 , AIG Ajani Omolabi has appealed to stakeholders to always provide credible and reliable information to the police to ensure that the state is free of any criminal activities.

He gave the appeal during his familiarization tour to Ekiti State Police Command and meeting with stakeholders in the state on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.

He urged the stakeholders which comprises Religious Leaders, National Union of Road Transport Workers,NURTW, National Associations of Nigerians Students ,NANs, Artisans, Market Leaders to mention a few to always avail the police with human information to assist them and for the benefit of peace of the state and country at large.

The AIG who said that the stakeholders can use technology to send information to the police promised to partner with the stakeholders to rush out all the criminal activities in the state and ensure that there is peace in the state.

He solicited for the support of the stakeholders in the state to cooperate with the police by not hoarding information which could help in the police investigation saying that his doors are always open to accommodate a credible and reliable information.

The AIG used the medium to warn criminal to steer clear of the state stressing that the police would flush them out

“ To criminals, steer clear of the state because we will locate you and deal with you with accordance of the law.

He appreciated the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for the peace being enjoyed in the state with a promise not to disappoint the governor.

He also commended the commissioner of police for his proactiveness and ensuring that there is peace and order in the state.

Earlier, the commissioner of police, CP Joseph Eribo appreciated the AIG visit and also solicited more synergy and support from the stakeholders in order to sustain the peaceful atmosphere currently being enjoyed in the state.
