Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the immediate disengagement of all Directors-General (DGs) of government agencies and Technical Advisers (TAs) serving in the state.
The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, in Ado-Ekiti.
According to the statement, the affected officials are expected to submit their handover notes to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The development comes barely 24 hours after the governor dissolved the State Executive Council.
The statement said the latest disengagement marked the completion of the process of disengaging political appointees serving in the administration, except for a few whose appointments had been retained because of the nature of their assignments.
Oyebanji expressed appreciation to the affected directors-general and technical advisers for their support, commitment and contributions to his administration and the development of Ekiti.
He wished them success in their future endeavours.
