Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti will commence a two-week annual leave on Monday, Aug. 24.
The leave is part of the governor’s statutory annual leave entitlement.
A statement by Olayinka Oyebode, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, said that Oyebanji would, however, remain available to attend to crucial matters relating to the governance and administration of the state while on leave.
According to the statement, the governor is expected to resume office on Monday, Sept. 7.
It said this would be the second time Oyebanji would proceed on annual leave since assuming office on Oct. 16, 2022.
The governor was sworn in as the third elected governor of Ekiti on Oct. 16, 2022.
