The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti, Mr Joseph Eribo, on Thursday received 31 newly commissioned Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) posted to the command from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

The officers are members of the 7th Regular Course of the academy and were recently commissioned by the President.

Addressing the cadet officers at the command headquarters, Eribo charged them to uphold discipline, professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

He urged them to respect the rights of citizens, adhere strictly to the rules of engagement and shun all forms of corruption, while prioritising the protection of lives and property across the state.

The police commissioner expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for deploying additional manpower to the command, noting that the posting would strengthen its operational capacity.

Responding on behalf of the cadet officers, one of them thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force for the opportunity to serve the nation and pledged their commitment to professional and dedicated service.
