GOV AIYEDATIWA RALLIES SUPPORT FOR OYEBANJI IN EKITI STATE URGES VOTERS TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES PEACEFULLY

The Chairman of Grassroots and Mobilization Committee of the National Campaign council of the APC for Ekiti Governorship election and Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has joined other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting with Ekiti indigenes who are residents of Ondo State, to garner support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the Ekiti governorship election.

Addressing the gathering in Ado Ekiti, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged eligible voters to turn out in large numbers for the election, emphasising that every vote would count in determining the result.

He encouraged the attendees to do more than just cast their votes by actively promoting support for the APC candidate within their communities and among family members and acquaintances.

The governor expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, noting that the goal was to secure an overwhelming mandate from the electorate.

He thanked the people for their support for the APC and Oyebanji, popularly known as BAO, while highlighting the importance of grassroots participation.

According to him, elections are won at polling units, making it essential for supporters to stay committed throughout the voting process.

He also assured voters of adequate security, urging them not to be intimidated, as security agencies would be on hand to ensure a peaceful exercise.

Former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and former Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Biodun Olujimi, called on supporters to remain resolute and united in backing the APC candidate.

She described the election as a pivotal moment for the state and urged party faithful to sustain their mobilisation efforts until the final vote is cast.

Senator Olujimi also encouraged voters to conduct themselves peacefully while fully participating in the democratic process.

She expressed optimism that the level of support already shown across various groups would translate into a decisive victory for the APC at the polls.

The Secretary of the Women Mobilization Committee of the National Campaign council of the APC for Ekiti Governorship election and Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Seun Osamaye, urged residents to see the election as an opportunity to strengthen democratic governance and influence the state’s future.

She called on citizens across all demographics, including youths, women, and community leaders, to participate actively and responsibly in the electoral process.

She urged supporters to remain focused on voter mobilisation, expressing confidence that the election would be conducted in a peaceful and organised manner.

Also present at the meeting was a former female Deputy Governor of Osun State, alongside APC leaders,The Secretary of the Grassroots and Mobilization Committee, Hon Niyi Oseni, President of Ekiti Diaspora for BAO, Mr Ojo Anthony Kehinde and other stakeholders, SSA from both Ekiti and Ondo States, who reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a successful outing for the party in the governorship election.
