The Ekiti State Police Command says it will commence the physical and credential screening for the recruitment of General Duty and Specialist Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force on March 9.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Sunday Abutu, on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti.
Abutu said the screening exercise would run from March 9 to April 18 at the Conference Room of the Command Headquarters, Old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, beginning from 7:00 a.m. daily.
He advised applicants from Ekiti State who successfully completed the online registration to log on to the official recruitment portal to confirm their eligibility, check their screening dates and print the required documents ahead of the exercise.
According to him, applicants are expected to appear at the screening venue strictly on the date and time indicated on their invitation slips.
The police spokesman listed the required documents to include invitation slip, application submission slip, credentials screening form, physical screening form and a duly completed guarantor’s form.
Others are original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or National Identity Card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of origin signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
Abutu added that applicants for specialist positions must also present relevant trade test certificates where applicable.
He further explained that candidates must come with both original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, each attached with recent passport photographs.
He also said that candidates are expected to appear for the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts and white stockings.
The command emphasised that the screening exercise would be conducted strictly on merit and in line with the highest standards of professionalism and transparency.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Joseph Eribo, while wishing applicants success in the first phase of the recruitment process, urged them to conduct themselves properly throughout the exercise.
Eribo also reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and advised applicants to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
