The Department of State Services has arrested a medical doctor suspected of supplying drugs to kidnapping gangs operating in parts of Kwara State.

The suspect was intercepted in the Jebba area after intelligence reports linked him to the movement of medical supplies from Sokoto to the criminal groups.

Security sources say the gangs have become increasingly desperate for medical attention due to gunshot injuries sustained during clashes with security operatives.

Authorities are advising health facilities in forested areas of the state to strengthen security, as they may be potential targets for the criminals.
