The First Lady of Ekiti State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has lauded the Otunba Femi Alabi Foundation for its commitment to educational development and for giving back to its founder’s alma mater, Baptist Comprehensive High School, Ado-Ekiti.

Represented at the Educational Empowerment Programme organized by the foundation, Dr. Oyebanji described the initiative as a shining example of leadership rooted in gratitude and compassion. She noted that the gesture aligns with the Biodun Oyebanji Administration’s strategic focus on strengthening the education sector as a pathway to sustainable development.

The First Lady emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful tools for personal growth and societal progress. She expressed satisfaction that individuals and organizations like the Otunba Femi Alabi Foundation are complementing government efforts to uplift the younger generation. Dr. Oyebanji reaffirmed her commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives such as the BAORESS Interface with Adolescents, Back-to-School Programme, and scholarships for young learners across various levels.

Addressing the students, Dr. Oyebanji encouraged them to take their studies seriously, uphold discipline, and strive for excellence, stressing that their future success depends on the choices they make today.

In her welcome remarks, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Ibitoye, appreciated the First Lady and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their consistent support for educational advancement in the state. She described Dr. Oyebanji as a worthy ambassador of the institution and commended the foundation for selecting the school for the empowerment programme.

Founder of the foundation and an alumnus of the school, Otunba Femi Alabi, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her dedication to education and child development.

He urged students to remain focused, acquire useful skills, and steer clear of negative influences such as drug abuse. He also encouraged them to, in future, give back to their school and society in appreciation of the foundation laid for them.

The Head Girl, Tantorun Adebimpe, speaking on behalf of the students, thanked the foundation for its support, noting that the gesture would inspire them to work harder and aim higher.
