The Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) John Adegbenro Falore Ajigbade III yesterday joined His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and other dignitaries at the Wedding Fatiha of Nasiruddeen Abdulaziz Yari and his bride, Safiyya Shehu Idris.
The ceremony was held at the historic Sultan Bello Central Mosque in Kaduna, a landmark venue renowned for hosting major religious occasions.
Nasiruddeen is the son of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Governor of Zamfara State and serving member of the National Assembly. Special prayers were offered for the couple, seeking God’s blessings for peace, harmony, and lasting happiness in their marriage.
In attendance were Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, along with other principal officers of the National Assembly, including Senator Adeola Solomon and Senate Majority Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele. Former Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, was also present.
The traditional institution was equally represented, with the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, and the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Hameed Adekunle Makama Oyelude Tegbosun III, Olowu of Kuta, lending royal splendour to the occasion.
Several governors, led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, also graced the occasion. They included Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno, Dr. Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Umar Bago of Niger, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe. Former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, were also in attendance
