All is set for the grand celebration of the second edition of the Ita Ajero Festival, scheduled to take place on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the historic Erekesan Market Square, Ijero-Ekiti. The colourful cultural event will kick off at 9:00 a.m.

This year’s festival will be attended by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Adebayo Adewole, the Owa Ajero of Ijero Kingdom.

The celebration promised a vibrant showcase of tradition, with live performances by Fuji music icon, Dr. Saheed Osupa, alongside captivating cultural displays from across Ekiti State and beyond.

According to the organising committee, the Ita Ajero Festival serves not only as a platform to promote unity and cultural heritage but also as a boost to tourism and economic activities in Ijero-Ekiti.

Residents, tourists, and lovers of African culture are expected to gather in large numbers to witness the colourful procession, traditional rites, and enthralling performances that will make the 2025 edition a truly unforgettable experience.
