Pandemonium erupted early Monday morning at Okeyimi Health Centre of Ado Ekiti, as a three day old baby was reportedly stolen.

According to an eyewitness account, the baby’s disappearance was noticed when the Nurses on duty wanted to cater for her in the morning.

Members of staff in the Ward, the mother of the baby, security guard and other suspects have been taken to the Police Station for further interrogation.

All efforts orts to speak with the management of the hospital proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.

When contracted the Police Public Relations officer, SP Sunday Abutu said “the Commissioner of Police, CP  Joseph Eribo has directed the State CID to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the recovery of the baby”

He added that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime and were  gving the command credible information that will aid the investigation process.
