Public Complaints Commissioner Visits Ekiti CJ, Seeks Judiciary Collaboration

The Ekiti State Public Complaints Commissioner, Prince Akintade Olayisade, today paid a courtesy visit to the Ekiti State Acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Lekan Ogunmoye, in his office.

During the visit, Prince Olayisade commended Justice Ogunmoye’s efforts in decongesting the prison and ensuring that innocent individuals are not wrongly punished.

The Commissioner highlighted the commission’s role as an ombudsman, aimed at resolving minor disputes and augmenting judicial activities.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration with the judiciary to achieve effective justice delivery.

Justice Ogunmoye appreciated the visit, noting that disputes are an inherent part of human existence and that resolving them requires a balance between formal and informal justice systems.

He emphasized the Ekiti State Judiciary’s vision of establishing a cheap, effective, faster, and accessible justice system.

The Acting Chief Judge pledged the judiciary’s collaboration with the Public Complaints Commission, citing their shared goal of ensuring effective justice delivery, which they have been doing efficiently and effectively, this they displayed at their regular attendance during prison visits.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Mr. A.O. Adeosun, Deputy Chief Registrar, and Mr. Isaac Anifowose, Ekiti State Director of the Public Complaints Commission, among others.
