International Day of Boy Child: FIDA EKiti, Capstone Mission Sensitize Boy Child on Drug Abuse

International Federation of Women Lawyers,FIDA, Ekiti Chapter in Collaboration with Capstone Mission have encouraged boy child to develop healthy self esteem without resorting to drug abuse. 

The FiDA Chairperson , Mrs Ayobami Olowoyo-Richards made this known on Friday at Blue crest International School in Ado EKiti during an event Commemorating the International Day of the Boy Chil, themed: “Building Self-Esteem in Boys: Stand Up, Be Heard, Be Seen.”

The event focused on educating and empowering young boys to develop healthy self-esteem without resorting to drug use.

 FIDA Ekiti Chairperson encouraged the boys to build self-confidence through positive habits and choices rather than depending on harmful substances. 

She urged them to embrace their uniqueness, speak up, believe in themselves, and choose self confidence over chemicals. 

The Founder of Capstone Mission, Mr. Akinwole Tolu Asiri,who doubles as the facilitator, presented short video clips on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse to raise awareness and discourage substance reliance among the students.

The school management appreciated FIDA and Capstone Mission for impacting the students on the danger of drug abuse.

Also, the students  who could not hide their joy, appreciated the group for taking time to celebrate the Day with them and for exposing the danger of taking drugs as a boy child. 

Gift items were distributed to the students for their rampt attention and for making it an interactive session.
