The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has appealed to students and teachers in all schools in Ekiti to make judicious use of their educational facilities by embracing maintenance culture that can protect the materials from early damage.
The Governor’s wife stated this at Baptist Comprehensive High School, Ado Ekiti, while handing over a new set of furniture for science Laboratory, Library, ICT centre and a renovated hall.

The Ekiti first Lady who was represented by the commissioner for education, Mrs Adebimpe Aderiye noted that the project would enable students to learn in a more conducive environment, adding that the renovation of the school hall became necessary to ensure a dignified space for academic and social gatherings.
She explained that these enhancements, would also have a lasting impact on the quality of education and student experience in this institution. To this end, she urged the students to cherish and maintain the facilities and remain diligent in their studies in pursuit of excellence.
“This school holds a special place in my heart as my alma mater, you will recall that during my visit in early 2024, I noticed the need for better learning conditions and without hesitation, promised to contribute to the improvement of the school’s infrastructure, this celebration is the fulfillment of that promise.” The First Lady stated.
In his remark at the event, the principal of the school Mr Afolabi Ologunleko appreciated the gesture of the First Lady and called on students to see the development as a golden opportunity to learn in a conducive environment and become a responsible citizen of Nigeria.
In their good will messages, the Vicar of First Baptist Church, Okeiyimi, Ado Ekiti, Pastor Kayode Ayinde, Special Adviser to Governor on Social inclusion, Princess Adetoun Agboola, Ekiti State Head of Service, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi and the Chairnan Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Mrs Rhoda Ojo unanimously called on the students to be good ambassadors of the school and shun all activities that could tarnish the image of their families.
