FIDA Ekiti Strongly Condemns Domestic Violence Against Mrs. Akintunde Taiwo by husband

International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA Ekiti unequivocally condemned the act of domestic violence inflicted upon Mrs. Akintunde Bidemi Taiwo by her husband, Jimoh Abdulraman. 

This is made known in a press statement by the Chairperson FIDA Ekiti chapter, Mrs Ayobami Olowoyo-Richards and made available to newsmen on Sunday. feb. 16, 2025  in Ado-Ekiti. 

Upon seeing the circulating video on social media, FIDA Ekiti promptly obtained details of the incident’s location.  

The Chairperson of FIDA Ekiti, Mrs. Ayobami Olowoyo-Richards, Esq, immediately alerted the Ekiti State Police Command, leading to swift action by the Oke Ila Police DPO, who moved to arrest the suspect.  

” FIDA Ekiti denounced this cruel act, which left visible marks of abuse on the victim, as it is a clear violation of the Ekiti State Gender-Based Violence Prohibition Law, 2019. ” She stressed.

 She promised that the organization remained committed to monitoring the case closely and ensuring that justice is served for the victim.
