The Ekiti Police Command has arrested one Jimoh Abdulraman who brutally assaulted his wife, one Mrs Taiwo Akintunde of Nova Area, Ado-Ekiti.
This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Abutu and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti.
The Ekiti Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr Joseph Eribo, directed the DPO Oke-Ila to immediately identify the culprit, arrest him and commence a thorough investigation after watching viral video of the victim on social media.
According to him, the operatives from Oke-Ila division has swung into action and arrested the suspect.
He said that the case has been transferred to the Gender Based Violence (GBV) Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID for discreet investigation and arraignment accordingly.
