Road safety commences ‘Operation Orange Impacts’ in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has commenced a Two-day special operation,Code named “Operations Orange Impacts” in the State.

The State Sector Commander, RS8.2, Sanya Adeoye, made this known in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

According to him, the exercise which had already begun on Wednesday, May 6th would run through Thursday, 7th May 2026,

He explained that the exercise was in line with the Corps Marshal ‘s directives, aimed at increasing FRSC Corporate Social Responsibility, which focuses on a number of key factors .

The Sector Commander named such factors to include: Massive traffic control in congested areas within township, and Deliberate removal of obstructions along major highways.

It also include Influence palliative repair on discovered black spots, through FERMA or direct efforts on conjunction with major stakeholders.

Adeoye added that the exercise, commenced on Wednesday within the metropolis, and that the exercise would be followed through .

” Consequently, the motoring public in Ekiti state is hereby advised to continue to cooperate with FRSC Operatives by obeying traffic rules and regulations.

” They are also urged to give adequate informations to Operatives, in case of any crash or obstruction, for prompt action”, he said.
