Wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Olayemi Oyebanji, has called on Christian leaders to intensify prayers for peace and continuity ahead of the state’s governorship election.

Oyebanji made the call on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti at the 2026 Ministers and Spouses Conference organised by The Lord’s Basket Outreach in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Speaking on the theme, “Recovering the Power of the Gospel,” she described the message as timely, stressing that the Gospel remained a vital tool for societal transformation.

She urged clerics to remain steadfast in intercession, noting that the progress recorded by the administration of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji was supported by prayers and divine guidance.

“As we approach the election, we humbly covet your continued intercession,” she said.

Oyebanji also advised ministers to adopt online platforms for prayer meetings to enhance participation and security, while urging residents to remain vigilant.

Newsachor reports that the event attracted ministers and Christian faithful from across the state.
