The First Lady of Ekiti State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has marked her 55th birthday in a compassionate and heartwarming manner by celebrating with children at the Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home in Iyin-Ekiti.

The visit, which formed part of activities lined up for her birthday celebration, reflected the First Lady’s deep commitment to touching lives and supporting the vulnerable across the state.

Represented by her Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Hon. Toyin Adepoju, Dr. Oyebanji presented various food items including bags of rice, beans, garri, salt, snacks, soft drinks, and cartons of biscuits to support the upkeep of the children at the home.

She explained that the gesture was inspired by love, compassion, and shared humanity, while also describing Governor Biodun Oyebanji as “a leader with a tender heart for the needy.”

Dr. Oyebanji expressed gratitude to God for the privilege to celebrate her birthday among the children, noting that “true celebration lies in touching lives and spreading joy.”

She also recalled that on Sunday, November 9, she empowered 250 women in Ikogosi-Ekiti, reaffirming her continuous efforts to uplift women and children across the state.

Receiving the items on behalf of the home, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs and Social Development, Pastor Peju Babafemi, congratulated the First Lady and commended her consistent support for the less privileged.

She described the gesture as motherly and a testament to the First Lady’s commitment to the welfare of special children in Ekiti State.

Also appreciating the First Lady, the Matron of the home, Mrs. Modupe Ajayi, expressed deep gratitude, noting that her generosity continually brings joy to the children.

She prayed on behalf of the children that God would bless and uphold the celebrant and her family.

The highlight of the visit was the joyful birthday song rendered by the children, who described Dr. Oyebanji as “a true mother to all.”

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and prayers for the First Lady and for continued peace and progress in Ekiti State.
