The Amazing Friends of Ikoro Ekiti has conducted an election and inaugurated new executive officers to pilot the affairs of the association
The inauguration which was on 14th day of June, 2025 stood remarkable in the history of Amazing Friends of Ikoro Ekiti as the first set of elected officers took oath of office and were sworn-in to lead the association.
Prior to this event, the pioneer set of executives were nominated four years ago and they had laid a strong foundation for the union.
The electoral processes commenced with the nomination of 3-man electoral committee headed by Amazing Peters Agboola while Amazing Samuel Omidiji served as Secretary and Amazing Taiwo Oke as a member. Electoral guidelines, eligible voters and available positions were released for the commencement of the election.
Nomination forms were obtained by interested candidates through the Electoral committee’s Secretary. Each of the candidates was sponsored by two financial members of the association. Campaigns and submission of manifestos followed between 25th and 30th of May, 2025.
On 31st of May was the main day with the introduction of transparent Hi-Tech open ballot system that started from 8:00am to 8:00pm while declaration of results was handled by Amazing Peters Agboola on the 1st of June, 2025.
The following members were declared winners of the election:
- Amazing Clement Ogundipe as President
- Amazing Funmilola Aderemi as the V.President
- Amazing Peter Fayomi as the Secretary
- Amazing Ayo Daramola as Vice Secretary
- Amazing Ajao Olowokere as the Treasurer
- Amazing Alex Adeyeye as the Public Relation Officer
- Amazing Rotimi Jeje as the Chief whip.
The President-elect, Rotimi Ogundipe later addressed members after the swearing-in program conducted on the Zoom said “I am proud of you all as this election proved that I served you well to deserve another term in office as the President of our noble association”.
Other elected officers and members expressed appreciation to the Electoral committee for the successful conduct of the both the elected officers and the voters for their enthusiasm during the process of the election.
The Public Relation Officer, Amazing Alex Adeyeye congratulated the newly elected officers, also appreciated the electoral body that conducted such an error-free election. “History will be kind to this electoral committee for the excellent delivery”, he submitted.
