AANI gets new Exco in Ondo/Ekiti, reaffirms commitment to national unity

The Alumni Association of National Insitute AANI has inaugurated executives for its Ondo/Ekiti chapter of its Alumni Association with a promise to champion national unity, and strategic policy development.

The newly Chairman of the chapter, Dr Jide Akinleye, in his acceptance speech shortly after the virtual inauguration, said the renewed commitment is for a better society.

Other elected members are; Dr. Lawal Oyeneyin, Vice Chairman/Publicity Secretary, Mr. Adeleke Adefolaju, Secretary, Mr. Oladipo Ogunleye, Financial Secretary, and Chief Oluwagbenga AKingbasote, Treasurer.

Dr Michael Ojo, was the immediate past Chairman, became an Ex-officio member.

Akinleye, a retired Permanent Secretary in Ekiti civil service, promised to lead with integrity, dedication, and transparency.

He promised that the chapter would support developmental efforts at national and sub national levels and its commitment to the mission of NIPSS.

Akinleye pledged to harness the collective expertise of members drawn from their wide experience in strategic positions across various sectors, to generate robust policy recommendations.

“This is to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, with a view to promoting national unity, security, and policy effectiveness,”he said.

Akinleye commended his predecessor, Dr. Michael Ojo, whose administration established what he described as “a strong foundation for the chapter to make significant contributions to national development.

He stated that the new leadership would develop work plans to strengthen collaboration with members at state and national levels, while amplifying the association’s influence to support policy formulation.

He further assured that the chapter would not only support the development of right policies, but also canvass for their implementation to advance national security, economic prosperity, and social harmony.

Members at the inauguration pledged their support for the new leadership to lift up the chapter, especially in their bid to advance national security, economic prosperity, and social harmony.

The members include; Bunmi Famosaya, Chairman, member, Ekiti State Civil Service Commission; Prof. Femi Mimiko, and former Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and Mrs Yinka Obe, retired Permanent Secretary.

Others are: Dr Olabimpe Aderiye, Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, who also served as the immediate past Vice Chairperson, and Mr Bayo Ade Ojo, a retired State Auditor General for Local Governments.
