The Lead Pastor of Global Harvest Church, Ado-Ekiti, Pastor Gbenga Folayan, has urged members of his congregation and other eligible residents of Ekiti State to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
Pastor Folayan made the call on Sunday during a church service in Ado-Ekiti, stressing the importance of active participation in the democratic process.
According to him, the PVC remains a vital tool through which citizens can exercise their constitutional right to elect leaders and shape the future of the state.
“Every eligible citizen should ensure that he or she has a PVC and is ready to vote during the election. Good governance is strengthened when people participate in choosing their leaders,” he said.
The cleric said Christians should not be indifferent to issues affecting society, noting that decisions taken by elected leaders have direct impacts on the welfare and development of the people.
He urged youths who had attained voting age to register and collect their PVCs, describing their participation in the electoral process as crucial to the growth of democracy.
