The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Thursday commissioned the newly completed Bovas/Spotless Hotel Road in Paradise Community and the Palace–Oke Age–Idolofin Roads in Ado-Ekiti, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable community development.

Governor Oyebanji, who was represented at the event by the First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, described the road projects as another testament to his administration’s resolve to deliver quality infrastructure that enhances the lives of the people.

The commissioning ceremony, which attracted community leaders, transport union representatives, landlords, corps members, and government officials, saw stakeholders commending the projects as timely and impactful.

The Governor lauded residents of Paradise Community and Oke Age–Idolofin for their cooperation during the construction period, noting that the newly completed roads would ease movement within the areas, reduce traffic congestion, and stimulate socio-economic growth.

He further urged residents to imbibe a culture of maintenance to ensure the roads’ longevity. Governor Oyebanji also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across all communities.

“No community will be left behind in the drive for development and improved living standards.” He emphasized.

Speaking on behalf of transport workers, the Chairman of the Okada Riders Association in Ekiti State, Comrade Kunle Asaolu, appreciated the State Government for easing transportation within the affected areas, noting that the roads would greatly benefit both riders and residents.

Also expressing gratitude, Elder Adebayo Samuel Folorunsho, who spoke on behalf of the community, commended the government for its people-centered approach and encouraged residents to continue fulfilling their civic responsibilities to support community progress.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the Paradise Community Landlords’ Association, Chief Michael Adetileyin, and the Chairman of Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Chief Bosun Osaloni, along with other stakeholders, praised the inclusion of solar-powered streetlights and youth empowerment initiatives within the communities. They described these as complementary projects that enhance safety and promote socio-economic activities.

The event was marked by excitement, gratitude, and commendations from residents, who described the projects as long-awaited interventions that would significantly improve daily life and economic activities within the communities.
