Ekiti Parapo College, Ido-Ekiti, will on Thursday, January 29, 2026, celebrate its 72nd Founders’ Day Anniversary.
The event, organised by the Ekiti Parapo College Old Students Association (EPCOSA), is scheduled to hold at the College Hall by 10:00 a.m.
A commemorative lecture will be delivered by the Head of Department, Media and Communication Studies, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Dr Tiwalola Obajuluwa, a digital media and health communication expert. The lecture is titled “Excelling in Academic Pursuits and Building a Future Career.”
Speaking on the programme, the National President of EPCOSA, Mr Lanre Arogundade, said the lecture is aimed at equipping students with relevant knowledge and practical insights to enhance academic excellence and career development.
He disclosed that Chief Bayo Adeniran, a former National Orator of the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) and an alumnus of the college, will chair the occasion.
Members of the Old Students Association, current students, invited guests and members of the public are expected to attend the celebration.
Founded in 1954 through the combined efforts of the Ekiti National Association (ENA) and the Ekiti Progressive Union (EPU), Ekiti Parapo College remains one of the foremost secondary schools in Ekiti State.
Meanwhile, preparations for the anniversary are ongoing, with refurbishment work currently taking place at the College Hall, including the installation of wall fans. Rehabilitation of the access road to the school is also underway to improve vehicular movement.
