The Ekiti State Police Command has noticed a particular video circulating on media especially on X (Formally called Twitter) where a young lady, who was later identified as Priscilla Rita Agbo, was alleging some personnel of the Command who were performing their legal duty of removing her cloth from her body and harassing her without any cause while inside her Vehicle at a stop and search point along Ado/Iworoko Road.
This is made known in a press release by the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Sunday Abutu and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ado-EKiti.
The Command wishes to state clearly that her claim in the Video is not just false and misleading but a consciously circulated drama to ridicule the image of the Force, in her usual manner.
To keep the record straight, on 28th September, 2025 at about 1600hrs, Priscilla Rita Agbo, while driving a fully tinted Toyota Camry Car with two others male Occupants, flagged down and asked to present all necessary vehicle documents including her drivers license, which she ended up presenting reluctantly. The Vehicle was further searched and some substances suspected to be hard drugs were found. She became furious, unruly and went wild against the officers the moment she was asked to explain what the substances are and why they were in her possession.
Rather than coming out of her vehicle when asked to do so to explain to the officers what the suspected hard drugs were, Priscilla Rita Agbo, popularly called PANT GIRL took her phone, started recording the Officers and making all manner of false allegations against them, again in her usual manner.
Despite all efforts by her friends, her Legal Adviser, the DPO of the Jurisdiction who came to meet the entire situation, as well as passers-by to make her understand that the Policemen were just doing their job and to also know the consequences of her actions, she remained adamant and went on to insult, assault and embarrass some of the Officers as seen in the other videos she did not know were captured.
The persistently professional intervention of her Legal Adviser and the DPO, Iworoko Division, made the case to be settled amicably, and she was let go. She however, went ahead in her usual malicious way of dealing with the Police to post the micro part of the whole scenario that suit her goal and intention of ridiculing the image of the Force.
The Command as well as some members of the Public have watched other videos where she was seen insulting, assaulting and attacking Policemen in uniform without provocation. These Videos she never knew were captured that very day.
The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, after watching all the videos, the allegations and the serious assault on the Policemen, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure justice is delivered.
Meanwhile, the Command earlier extended an invitation to Priscilla Rita Agbo on 29th September, 2025 but she refused to honour it. All efforts made to reach her since then via phone calls proved abortive as she has refused to pick her calls.
The Command, while imploring members of the Public to disregard the allegations as they are untrue, malicious, an attempt to ridicule the image of the Force and a means of gaining popularity and followership, warns other Content Creators and Social Media Users who wish to trend to desist from using the Police in a negative manner especially through false and misleading information/contents, as any one found wanting must be made to face the full wrath of the law, including Priscilla Rita Agbo.
The Command will continue to uphold the Principle of Rule Of Law, Fair hearing and respect for the rights of all citizen, while prioritizing the safety of lives and property of all and Sundry.
