The Obalodo of Oye Kingdom, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has commended the Ekiti state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for upholding a peaceful political activities for the past three years in the state.
Chief Oguntoyinbo gave the commendation while interacting with Journalists at the Udiroko Festival held recently in Ado-Ekiti.
He described governor Oyebanji as a peace loving personality who has demonstrated quality leadership, maturity, humility, accessibility and generosity in running the affairs of the state.
Oguntoyinbo, who is the Current Chairman of Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency (EKSEPA) said since Oyebanji assumed office, he has been carrying out unique developmental projects.
He highlighted some of his achievements in the area of road construction, electricity installation to communities, empowerment programme for youths, regular payment of pensioners gratuities among others.
Chief Oguntoyinbo noted that Oyebanji has set the record for the first time in the political history of the state by bringing past governors together from different political parties to form a formidable team for peace and unity to move the state forward.
” I want to sincerely commend our amiable governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for upholding peaceful political activities for the three years in Ekiti.
” It is a unique feat and it highly commendable, the governor has set the record for first time in the political history of our dear state.
” He brought together the past governors in spite of their different political affiliations to discuss on ways to move the state forward.
“I am not too surprised because governor Biodun Oyebanji is a peace loving person, humble , easy going and generous,” he said.
Chief Oguntoyinbo also explained that governor Oyebanji gathered his wealth of experience of promoting peaceful political regime being an home based governor who have served under former governor Niyi Adebayo and Kayode Fayemi in various positions.
Obalodo, however, urged the sons and daughters of the state who are within and in diaspora to support the governor’s ambition to contest for the second term in office.
