The Nigeria Study Team from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) has sought for the EKiti Police command support and collaboration.
The team, which was led by Brigadier-General Joseph Manjang, comprised 30 Student Officers of the rank of Major and 10 administrative Staff visited the EKiti Police Command Headquarters in Ado-EKiti.
The was made known in a press statement by the Police Public Relation Officer,SP Sunday Abutu and made available to newsmen in Ado-EKiti.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, expressed his gratitude to the leader of the team and Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Brig. General J.I.B Manjang, the adminstrative Staff and the Student Officers for the visit.

He noted that the visit was a testimony of their selfless contribution to rid the State free of crime and Criminality.
The Commissioner of Police further Stated that the visit was thoughtful and noble, as it would strengthen the existing relationship and interaction between the Nigerian Military and the Nigeria Police Force, to foster a more positive and cooperative partnership focused on upholding democracy, protecting Citizens, and promoting national development.
He said , which is in line with the Mission Statement of the Force under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetoku.
The CP noted that the State is adjudgеd one of the most peaceful States in Nigeria as a result of the commitment dedication and hard work of the personnel, the synergy and partnership between sister Security Agencies, especially the Nigerian Army and the support and cooperation from the state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji and the good people of Ekiti.
He equally acknowledged the immense support of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.
The CP urged the Student Officers to make the best of the opportunity provided by the College to distinguish themselves in their chosen career, as the course is meant to stimulate their minds, and challenge them to understand how best to plan and execute logistics support for Military operations in the face of the diverse and evolving security threats in the Country.
The CP pledged his continued support for and collaboration with the Military and other security Agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property of the good people of EKiti.
In his response, the Commandant NACOLM and Study Team Leader, Brigd. Gen. John Manjang, expressed his deep appreciation for the privilege given to them to come to the Command Headquarters for the courtesy visit and interactive session with the CP and his management team.
According to him, the decision to visit the Police Command Headquarters is predicated on the theme of the visit which is, “Optimizing National Security Through a Whole Society Approach” stated that the visit is part of the collaboration and synergy building between the Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Police Force.
Brigd Gen. Manjang further commended the effort of the Police in harmonizing all other Security Agencies that has brought about peace and tranquility across the State.
