…Canvasses Support for BAO ‘s Administration

Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has solicited the support of the Muslim Community for the sustenance of developmental strides being witnessed under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Dr. Oyebanji made the call while hosting Muslim women to an Iftar (breaking of fast) at the Lady Jibowu Hall of the Government House, Ado Ekiti in continuation of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Addressing members of the various Muslim women groups during the breaking of the fast for the day, which was also attended by the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habitat Adubiaro among other dignitaries, appreciated the support of the Muslim Community, especially the womenfolk for the BAO led administration.

The first lady said, Governor Oyebanji is determined more than ever before to make Ekiti a reference point in governance, development and investment in Nigeria and covet the support and prayers of all and sundry to achieve the feat.

While noting that she doesn’t take the support of the Muslim Community, especially its womenfolk for granted, the First Lady said the Iftar offered her an opportunity to appreciate their support and solidarity with the Oyebanji Administration.

Speaking earlier, the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, expressed the gratitude to the Muslim Community to the Governor for supporting the government of BAO with their prayers and support, especially the Muslims in the cabinet.

Also speaking at the breaking of fast, the Amirah, Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), Alhaja Jimoh Aisat appreciated the wife of Ekiti State Governor for the show of love extended to the Muslim community especially the womenfolk and pledged the support of all women to the present administration.

The Muslim women had earlier held prayers for the Governor, his wife, peace, progress and development of the state at the Government House Mosque before celebrating the Iftar with the First Lady at Jibowu Hall.
