The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has addressed the nation moments after he was declared the President-elect federal republic of Nigeria.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in the wee hours of Wednesday, declared Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the February 25 Presidential Election in Nigeria having scored the highest number of votes of 8,794,726️ to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who polled 6,984,520 while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) polled 6,101 533 . Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP polled 1,496,687.
Tinubu in his acceptance speech, thanked Nigerians, President Mohammadu Buhari, the leadership of INEC and the governors of the APC, women and youths for their support.
The President-elect promised an all-inclusive government and invited his main rivals to join hands with him in moving the country forward.
He also assured Nigerian students that an end had come for incessant strikes by university lecturers and workers, adding that their four year courses would be completed within stipulated time.
