Ekiti Governor’s wife tasks wedding coordinators on unity as they produces new leaders
Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has charged members of the Association of Professional, Traditional Wedding and Engagement Coordinators in Ekiti State (APTWECON), to remain united and dissociate themselves from anything that could cause rancor among members.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dr Oyebanji gave the advice while playing host to the members of the association, who were led to her office by its newly elected leaders in Ado-Ekiti .
The First Lady noted that progress and success could only be achieved when people dwelled in unity. She also pointed out that peace is important to grow any community.
She Congratulated the association for a successful election and charged the new leadership to lead with the fear of God.
Dr Oyebanji enjoined the Association not to relent in giving their support to Biodun Oyebanji led administration, noting that the government would not stop giving its best to private sectors in the state.
She also used the avenue to solicit their support and vote for the All Progressives Congress presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the forthcoming general election.
According to the first lady the emergence of Tinubu would enhance various ongoing developmental projects in Ekiti State.
In her remark, the founder of APTWECON in Ekiti State, Mrs Funke Oni thanked the First Lady for always associating with the group and support where necessary.
The founder also thanked the First Lady for appointing one of their members, Mrs Toyin Adepoju as Special Adviser on political mobilisation.
The newly elected Governor of APTWECON, Mrs Oluwafunke Adesina assured members of her commitment to move the association forward and also promised that the group would continue to support the government of Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
The event was attended by APTWECON Patron ,Mr Israel Adesokan, Chief Kemi Olaleye,Mrs Anthonia Omolusi, Mrs Toyin Afolabi among others.
