The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South-West Zone, has passed confidence vote in Prof Joseph Ayodele,the Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University(EKSU) and his management team.
The NANS delegation, led by its Coordinator, Comrade Kayode Adeyemo Kayode made this known during a courtesy visit to his office in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.
The visit focused on students’ welfare, institutional development and strengthening collaboration between students’ representatives and university management.
The delegation commended the Ayodele-led administration for creating a conducive environment for teaching, learning and students’ development.
It also stressed the importance of constructive engagement and open communication in addressing issues affecting the students’ community.
The student leaders described Ayodele’s leadership as purposeful and committed to advancing the university’s academic and developmental goals.
They pledged continued support and cooperation with management on initiatives promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.
Responding, Prof. Ayodele appreciated the delegation for the visit and confidence reposed in his administration, describing the gesture as encouraging.
He reaffirmed management’s commitment to students’ welfare and academic success, saying students remained central to the university’s mission.
Ayodele urged student leaders to promote peace, discipline, dialogue and mutual respect, noting that stability required collective commitment.
He expressed confidence that sustained collaboration with NANS and other student organisations would strengthen relations and benefit the university.
