The Organizers of the much anticipated Ikogosi 17.5 kilometers Marathon race are gearing up for a memorable event scheduled to hold Nov.8, 2025
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the marathon race will commence at the Ilawe-Ekiti roundabout, near the Alawe Palace as participants will run through streets and communities in that axis to the popular Ikogosi Warm Springs in Ikogosi-Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government.
Registration for the one day event which began a month ago will close on Nov.1 as indigenes and foreigners from all parts of the globe are expected to compete for the prize money worth more than N5 million for the outstanding contestants across different categories.
The Ikogosi Marathon race offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty, drawing participants from across Nigeria and beyond who will compete for cash prizes and other consolation prizes.
The marathon race course officially approved by Internationally recognized bodies while organizers are working round the clock to ensure a hitch free and glamorous event .
Registration for the marathon race is free as all interested elite and amateur runners can register through the official portal which is www.ikogunsimarathon.com.
The Ikogosi 17.5 KM marathon race enjoys the support of the Ekiti State Government and the Office of the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports, Dr Olusola Osetoba.
The event underscores Ekiti state growing reputation as a hub for tourism and sports while promoting wellness, unity, and economic activity in the region.
All registered runners are hereby informed that collection of running Number Bibs, vests, and race packs has officially started
The materials will be collected at Ikogosi Marathon Office, 128 Awedele road, opposite New Iyin Road, beside Police Station Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State
Time for collection is between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm daily from Oct.23 till Nov.7,2025.
